Judgement for the Saved vs Unsaved
Discussing:
“There will be a final judgment of all people.”
Thread starter's perspective:
We will all be judged but for the saved I believe our judgement will also involve judgement us for rewards. Ie burning our good deeds made of sticks and the good deeds remain.
Any other thoughts on the differences here? Will we have our glorified bodies before the judgement if we are “transformed” in the moment of the return of Christ and THEN the judgement happens…

At the final judgment, everyone will stand before Christ to give an account of their lives, but the experience differs for the saved and the unsaved. Those who are not in Christ face condemnation, as Jesus warns, “Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matthew 25:41) and “I never knew you” (Matthew 7:23). Believers, however, are already justified through faith. For the saved, there is an additional aspect of judgment that concerns rewards, where works are tested by fire—those done with selfish motives or without lasting value are burned, while faithful deeds endure (1 Corinthians 3:12-15). Most believe that at Christ’s return, believers are transformed into glorified bodies (1 Corinthians 15:51-52) before this judgment occurs, so we appear in perfection before the Lord. This judgment is not about salvation, which is secured through faith, but about the stewardship of our lives and how we used the gifts and opportunities God gave us, ultimately determining our eternal rewards.

I think the last part of this is rather interesting. If we have our glorified bodies at the final judgement that kind of changes things for how we think of what we will be feeling at that time. Like, if that’s the case then we’d already know “we made it” before the judgement.
